This is not a circle skirt. It is designed to be fitted around the waist and hips, then dramatically flares out at the bottom. Photo at left shows what happens when you stop spinning and what it looks like when you're standing still.
The fabric is polyester gabardine, but feels like a cross between cotton and summerweight wool. You will not be disappointed. It has a 1.5" waistband and left side zipper. The bottom hem should hang (on most) at or barely below the knee. Fabric is heavy enough to swish nicely when you stop for a break. This skirt was chosen for the show "So You Think You Can Dance" for the Lindy Hop routine...
