Four years ago Lauren Miller and I opened a 300 square foot dance shop in The Landmark of Andersonville, a business co-operative. Since then, Chicago Dance Supply has weathered through our own share of marriages, births and deaths: the start of the business in 2003, the loss of my business partner to a marriage and a move to Michigan, the business co-op disbanded. Personally, I lost my mother after a long illness, I had two more children, and in April, I’ll celebrate my 10 year anniversary with my husband, Michael.
For our four year anniversary event, Chicago Dance Supply will complete yet another metamorphosis. This April, we say good-bye to our street level storefront and move upstairs to the sunny second floor (to make room for a bank and a pizza joint). We look forward to finally settling down as this is our third relocation within the building. We'll continue to carry the same trusted brands for all your dancewear needs at reasonable prices. Our friendly crew of sales associates will continue to provide you with excellent and attentive service. We will continue to be open daily.
So, please pardon our dust as we make this transition. And don’t forget to take advantage of our moving sale going on now with deeper discounts to come through the end of the month.
We welcome your comments, quesitons and suggestions anytime. As always, we thank you for your continued support.
There are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them. --Vicki Baum
